As an Artist, the main fascination and focal theme of my work is exploring polar opposites, and wanting to combine the two very different things in either a sublime or obscure way.I have aspirations to become a secondary school teacher, specialising in Art and Design, and I have experience of being an unqualified teacher from doing a placement for Self-Initiated Creative Arts Practice in my second year of my degree. During the placement I worked with five different groups of children of varied levels in a secondary education institute, as this is my desired teaching position. The three projects I did with the different groups were making a "Pepper's Ghost". This is a technique more commonly used in theatre to create the illusion that something is there without it physically being there. I also did a project on making Zoetrobes, which makes the drawings appear animated when used. My third project was making Perspective maquettes, where 2D images are layered and appear 3D inside a box with a viewing hole. I also have an interest in Photography, either studio based or a landscape photographer. Most of my photography pieces in my 2nd year of my degree mainly focussed on the landscape, and in my 3rd year I took to more creating installations or sets to photograph for my work with Tarot Cards and Poker Games.
