--Oversee learning & development initiatives and operations for the Physician Services Division, the 9,000 employee outpatient division of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.--Design and deliver a broad array of engaging, dynamic, and interactive leadership development programming to management staff and internal leaders spread across 17 counties and more than 500 locations to grow, enhance, and evolve the existing skill sets of management personnel.--Supervise day to day operations of the learning and development staff to include program design and delivery, scheduling, training, monitoring performance, and evaluating content. --Coordinate training needs assessments among 40+ departments to identify learning and development program needs, evaluate effectiveness of existing programs, and revise existing programs to better align with organizational, strategic, operational, and learner needs. --Participate in and oversee the design of learning and development programs, which includes: ensuring that each program conforms to standard adult-learning principles; and developing and/or overseeing creation of training presentations and learner materials/resources/tools; --Oversee the measurements and outcomes process, which includes capturing data from learners and other stakeholders regarding quality, effectiveness, and applicability of learning activities; determining the rate at which learning is transferred to the job; and identifying impact of learning on turnover, tenure, productivity, etc. --From established metrics; utilize metrics to redesign, develop, and improve programs when necessary --Maintain communications and a positive relationship within the organization and other entities providing supporting resources, such as personal coaching and management consulting, to both new and existing leaders.
