As an ABC certified orthotist and prosthetist I am specifically educated and trained to make and fit orthoses and prostheses and manage comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic patient care.

I was tasked with the organization and operations of ten laboratory areas and approximately thirty researchers. My roles included every aspect of day to day operations, including EH&S, purchasing, equipment maintenance, capital equipment purchasing, vendor contracts, outsourcing, facilities management and some routine molecular and cellular biology related actives.

Analyze GMP inventory data from sub-contractors and branches to ensure Materials Mgt. records and the Unix based JDE database (JDE) accurately reflect inventory positions including: inventory balances, receipts, lot statuses, allocations (as applicable), expiration dating, issuances to labeling/manufacturing operations, stock shipments and clinical distribution activity. Ensured existing inventory management controls were in place. Monitored shipping activity related to GMP materials. Assisted in the validation of new GMP controlled JDE processesInspected and validated subcontractors compliance to Materials Mgt. SOPs and policies.Oversaw the international and domestic shipments of raw materials, API, clinical trial drug and commercial product.

Created and maintained detailed and accurate records of plasmid constructs in a computer database. Designed constructed and mutated more that 250 plasmids for use on various projects contributing cloning and sub-cloning expertise to more that 15 projects related to drug discovery and vector improvement.Supervised and trained interns; assisted in training of new employees in related positions. Researched and identified molecular biology products for use. Compared various PCR sub-cloning kits through a extensive series of experiments, then published the results in an internal company journal. Assisted in the publication of an internal SOP of molecular biology procedures.Initiated and maintained plasmid database and storage of plasmid DNA and oligomers using Vector NTI for the group.Assisted in the verification and set up of real time PCR services at the company.
