The Ambient Smart Grid products and services include communications nodes; a network management system, AmbientNMS®; integrated applications; and maintenance and consulting services• Led a project to automate testing of our smart grid network management system. Currently each release has 30,000 test cases which need to be run manually.• Main support for a system to track hardware and software release features, documents and test plans and execution. Interface to the vendor coordinating all defect fixes and product enhancement requests. • Responsible for the support and updates to a Defect Tracking system. Migrated system to a newer release requiring new hardware, upgrades and user training.

Management of two projects; increase the profitability of their current web based product and support the creation of a new Mid-Market product offering.

Worked on the support of a Document Review and Control System from Verona Systems. Verona Systems offers an integrated suite of applications which automates data collection and reporting from all phases of the lifecycle, providing end-to-end visibility and traceability. Helped to set up the Test Management portion which includes test cases, test plans, test runs and test results. This was used for different releases of the companies software. Verified all the imported data, working with the vendor to define enhancements and acting as the primary internal resource for support.

Created a project plan for this medical device start-up. This five year plan includes tasks, resources, linkages and costs for the devices they are planning on designing and building. Trained the staff in the use of MS Project.

We developed software solutions for companies in the financial industry. Responsible for interacting with clients and development staff in India, leading the software development efforts for software implementations.• Project management integrating an accounting workflow application with a document management system.• Design of a web application allowing for the transfer of large documents.• Design and review of an Electronic signature application with the principal partner.• Creation of user documentation for monitoring and reporting of financial plans.

Supported Customer Service Applications and managed a systems reporting group. Led various business application projects and introduced project standards into an engineering group.• Improved customer satisfaction by supporting the Executive Vice President of Storage Platforms in the implementation of an extensive product issue research system for customers and partners in a three month period.• Integrated 100,000 records from an acquired company’s customer service request system into the company’s standard application to increase productivity by reducing redundancy. • Recruited to manage a troubled software project that was six months behind schedule which allowed customers to gather and send problem data in a timely manner. Immediately set up daily meetings with the project team and vendor to identify and resolve issues. Responsible for all IT infrastructure and applications for the company. Improved the productivity of the company by implementing a standardized Microsoft environment. Migrated from a mix of Macintosh and UNIX systems and tools to Windows PC's and the MS Office suite. As the company divested lines of business and employees, the company moved to a smaller space to reduce expenses. This required executing the installation of a new phone system, the build out of a computer room and labs, the de-installation and setup of all computer equipment and systems over a three day period.

For this multinational manufacturer and distributor, responsible for a staff of 22 located at multiple sites. Successfully migrated an Order Entry software package on a Honeywell mainframe to a different software package on IBM. At the same time, led the effort to rewrite the Field Service Support system from Honeywell and IBM.
