I have a keen interest in driving transformation in people and communities. I have worked for a global organisation, where I had an opportunity to travely extensively and work in different aspects of the organisation. I have worked in my family business for over 20 years and saw it grow from its beginnings in our home, to its eventual acquisition last year. My experience of working in the family business inspired me to start the Association of Family Business Enterprises in Kenya over 8 years ago. The work that most inspires me is that of social impact. I sit on the Board of a number of non-profit organisations that specifically do work that helps transform lives. I chair the Board of CBM Kenya, a non-profit that helps transform the lives of people living with disabilities in the poorest communities in the world.I am also the Country Director of the Global Travel and Tourism Partnership, East Africa, The GTTP is a multi-country educational program to introduce students to career opportunities in Travel & Tourism. To date, almost 3 million students in 15 countries/regions have participated in the GTTP. My most recent endeavour, which I have set up with my wife, is Kayana Create. It is a community of female entrepreneurs of abundance that come together to move their businesses from ideationto start up.
