For this internship, I carried out research on the topic of sustainability in the Medical Devices and Biopharmaceuticals industry.An invaluable experience, I honed my skills in (market) research as well as conducting interviews with (potential) customers even more. The interviews were carried out both online as well as on site, which was extremely valuable and led to great insights.Combining my own market research with the insights I gained from the interviews led to a report with a broad overview of the information gained, a thorough analysis of the interviews conducted, and a conclusion of all this data. This ultimately led to an advice for TECHNIA on how to engage with these companies on the topic of sustainability. After the internship I remained with TECHNIA, after which I moved to Budapest, Hungary. Show less

During my time at Husqvarna I researched the potential expansion in the market for robotic lawnmowers in the United Kingdom. During the internship, I gained experience talking to current and potential customers, unveiling their current and future challenges and figuring out how Husqvarna's products can help solve these issues. Moreover, I carried out market research on my own, to understand the current market conditions and to see where opportunities lie.The internship helped me hone my skills in communication, talking to customers, interviewing, carrying out research, and to understand the cultural differences between Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. Moreover, it gave great insights into what it is like working for a large multinational company, with different stakes and challanges compared to other companies I have worked for. Invaluable! All in all a really educational, fun, interesting internship, which had only been hindered by the COVID-19 pandemic. Sadly, it meant that I had to carry out my research and interviews from home, with some occasional visits to the Dutch office in Almere. It was definitely challenging, carrying out all these tasks from home, not being able to meet people face to face, but my supervisors at Husqvarna were flexible, compassionate, and helped me where I could.This internship was definitely the inspiration behind my later move to Stockholm to do my internship at TECHNIA. Super exciting, moving to the other side of the planet, all alone, without anyone else from my studies going to this region.By far the best experience I have had in my life and career, I cannot recommend going abroad, experiencing different cultures and learning (or improving on) a language, enough!During my time at Loyals, I gained a lot of valuable interpersonal, communication, language, professional and cultural knowledge. The cultural shock was substantial, but thanks to my lovely colleagues at Loyals Medellín, this was taken away swiftly!During the internship, I helped the team optimise their market activities which were mainly focused on the Netherlands, Belgium, Curacao and other Dutch speaking regions, as well as some English speaking regions. I helped improve their SEO/SEA efforts, helped with the wording on the websites that were built, and helped shooting promotional videos. All the while I was juggling between Spanish, English, Dutch (and German if you include communicating with house mates and friends I made in Medellín), this was an extremely enjoyable internship and an experience I will cherish forever.¡Una chimba!
