Joe has over 30 years of experience in structuring and completing domestic and international financing transactions. Joe regularly acts as lead counsel to lenders (and lending syndicates) and debtors involving complex financing structures. Joe has extensive oil and gas, oil and gas service sector, power project and pipeline project financing experience. Joe’s experience also includes debt and corporate restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency matters.Representative work includes:•Counsel to Bank of Montreal, as administrative agent and a syndicate of lenders with respect to a CAD $375 million cross-border financing for DirectCash Payments Inc. •Advising Agents and Lenders of a senior secured US$120 million cross-border syndicated credit facility made to a renewable energy company. The proceeds of this 4-year revolving facility will enable continued operation of, and investments in, wind farms or wind projects currently in development or under construction in the North and South America.•Counsel to Royal Bank of Canada, Natixis, New York Branch and a syndicate of other lenders with respect to the $252 million project financing by Le Plateau Wind Power LP for the development, construction, ownership and operation of a 138.6 MW wind power generation facility in the MRC d’Avignon, Quebec
