Significant improvements in the operation's production, efficiency and costs over an 8 month period. Conducted a successful plant scale test of the operation's ability to meet operational targets specified in the project's Feasibility.

• Reporting to the CEO and senior member of the Executive Leadership Team, heading all operations and development projects for the corporation, as well as Corporate Social Responsibility.
• Built experienced, focused and effective production and project development teams, driving dramatic performance improvements at operations and creative solutions to SSR’s mining developments.
• Key strategic leader in the conversion of SSR from a resource to a production company.
• Transformed the Pirquitas mine from a struggling asset to one which exceeded budget and design forecasts for a 37% increase in production (8.6 MM oz Ag) to become Argentina’s largest silver mine.
• Improved Pirquitas’ efficiency and recovery, exceeding design; by 4%, generating over $10 million in additional revenue. Dramatic improvements in safety.
• Executed a strategy to deal with significant environmental legacy issues at less than one fourth of the original estimated cost, saving $100 MM in closure costs.
