My days are spent building and communicating situational awareness to product managers and engineering leaders. I assist in formulating roadmaps and prioritizing development to align with market trends, and work across Gemalto to create go to market plans.My current areas of focus cover: removing the hype from Blockchain and IOT - so we can start realising their value in business, managing the move to utility consumption of technology, the role of UX in security solutions, and rethinking the human part of cybersecurity. Being data driven, I do not rely on crystal balls and gut feel. I much prefer to identify data points to measure and monitor performance. When data is not available or weak signals are conflicting, I talk to customers and use experiments to identify direction to guide scenario planning. User needs remain my primary focus, and I spend significant time meeting new and existing customers.Before working at Gemalto, I worked in the storage industry and UK government. My job roles have covered technical pre-sales, security consultancy and research, network architecture and engineering development.
