I undertook a wide variety of technical responsibilities, including adding and editing content for client websites, fixing any technical issues they may have, and developing new tools and software for them to use. This involved using various frameworks such as Drupal, Wordpress and Joomla!, in addition to custom solutions - both new and legacy.I also worked as an in-house technician, maintaining the office servers, networking and backup systems.

Touring with the Lancaster University Theatre Group, I worked as a technician in several venues around the UK, rigging, focusing, programming and operating the lighting fixtures. I also gained experience as a Stage Manager.

After working in the venue with Lancaster University Theatre Group in my first year, I was invited to become a part-time technician. This involves working with a close team of other technicians on a wide variety of tasks, although I specialise in rigging, focusing, and programming the lighting fixtures, and occasionally operating the lighting console during the performances. The work often has strict time constraints, meaning good communication and efficiency is vital.

Working in my hometown theatre during the academic holidays as a lighting technician on a casual voluntary basis.
