Hettich America L.P. started as Heinze America, LTD in Greensboro, NC in 1979 to physically be in the market place and moved the company and the majority of the employees into a bigger facility in Charlotte, NC in 1983, where Hettich started as Hettich America Corp. After years of changing locations in the US. and physically separating functions, it became evident that a consolidation of these two locations was critical for Hettich America to take the presence in the US. market to the next level. Hettich America merged its two locations in Buford, GA / Gwinnett County in 2010. Here as well as in Kirchlengern, Germany is where ideas are born for furniture fittings for today and the future.Moved through a series of promotions from product development to production operations manager.Some of my key contributions are as follows:» Managed a $16MM budget.» Oversaw the performance of 7 direct reports and indirectly 45-50 staff.» Managed a new product launch, acquiring accountability for the performance of direct reports and ensuring all machines remained operational while achieving an additional market segment of $200K in sales.» Sourced raw materials and equipment, engaged in vendor price negotiations, contract development, and overall vendor management.» Developed and implemented a new roll form line, reducing costs by $147K, and ROI in four months.» Reduced a two-shift operation to one.» Nominated for Georgia Manufacturer of the Year 2013.
