About Jonas Jørgensen
I am Associate Professor at the Center for Soft Robotics at the Biorobotics section of the University of Southern Denmark. My research spans the fields of technical soft robotics research, human-robot interaction, practice-based artistic research, and media art history.I have taught university courses on: "Introduction to Soft Robotics", "Bioinspired Autonomous Systems", "Robotic Art and Soft Robotics", “Programming of Hardware and Robot Technology for Playing and Learning purposes”, “Creative Digital Practice”, “Digital Experience and Aesthetics”, “Artificial Life & Evolutionary Robotics: Theory, Methods and Art”, and “How to Make (Almost) Anything”I was originally trained as a physicist (BSc) and an art historian (BA, MA) at Copenhagen University and Columbia University (New York). I did a transdisciplinary practice-based PhD on soft robot aesthetics at the IT University of Copenhagen.
