Developed, acquired, and edited more than thirty books a year for Walter Foster, Jr.

At Lark, I managed the overall publishing strategy for the children’s department, which produced thirty-five titles annually. I planned, directed, and drove product management activities, including leading the team toward building new programs and growing current series lines, identifying new product opportunities, executing project plans, and setting the editorial tone for the department. I also acquired manuscripts, signed authors, and developed each season’s list while supervising a seven-person staff.

-- Scheduled, assigned, proofread, and trafficked all brochures, catalogs, genre ads, and promotional material for five mass market paperback imprints and four trade paperback imprints-- Oversaw the daily activities of two copywriters -- Acted as liaison between promotion department and art department
