- Extensively experienced and an up to date knowledge of modern Organic Synthetic Chemistry- Strong track record in synthesis of various compound classes (e.g. Heterocycles, Peptidomimetics)- Experienced in the use of chemistry retrieval databases (e.g. Scifinder, Reaxys, Beilstein)- Knowledge about the use of Advanced Synthesis Equipment (e.g. microwave IR, combinatorial equipment) and the use of (automated) purification tools- Knowledge and experienced with the chemical aspects of delivering NCE’s for in vitro and in vivo testing, including structure elaboration, purity and impurity profile - Multi-step organic synthesis (single experiments and combichem experiments). - Quality assessment using state-of-the-art analytical techniques, such as: NMR, UPLC-MS, HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS and chiral HPLC. - Oral and written synthetic presentations as well as medicinal chemistry related issues- Recording and retrieval of chemical synthesis using an electronic notebook- Communication with external collaborators
