As Full Professor of Supply Chain Management & Pricing Strategy at Kuehne Logistics University in Hamburg, I specialize in the application of mathematical models to business problems, with a particular focus on the areas of Revenue Management, Dynamic Pricing and Supply Chain Management. I received my PhD in Management Science from Columbia Business School in New York in 2005 and hold a Graduate Business Degree from the University of Hamburg in Germany. During my time at Columbia Business School, I led an entrepreneurial venture and founded Manhattan Review (www.manhattanreview.com), a leading global test preparation and admissions consultancy.Prior to my current position, I taught at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) in England, where I originated three new MBA electives in Revenue Management, Supply Chain Management and Advanced Decision Models. I also developed two new executive education courses on Pricing Strategy (www.pricingmanagement.com) and Lean Six Sigma Operations (www.leanoperations.com), and after a request from LUMS, spun out the administration of these short courses into a new company, Lancaster Executive (www.lancasterexecutive.com).My academic and other professional endeavors have prepared me well for developing actionable solutions that can be implemented expediently.
