As a Principal Technical Lead on the Buses team, I helped design, build, and deliver tools to test USB, I2C, SPI, Audio, and Touch features. 2009 - 2013Windows Phone is a compact operating system developed by Microsoft, and designed for use in smartphones and mobile devices.While working on Windows Phone, I was a Senior SDET Lead in a SW/HW team designing/integrating automation & robotics to test sensors and touch. 2006 - 2009Microsoft Surface (playtable) was a multi-touch product from Microsoft which was developed as a software and hardware combination technology that allows a user, or multiple users, to manipulate digital content by the use of natural motions, hand gestures, or physical objects, announced in May, 2007 at D5 conference. Hired as sole Hardware Test Engineer, responsible for architecting/implementing a Des. verif. & Mfg. test strategy for five custom PCBs, PC subsystem, vision and display systems. Created and deployed manufacturing tests and fixtures to ODMs. Solely responsible for Design Verification test coverage. Led and drove weekly dev team bug triage meetings for continuous product improvement. Promoted to Test Manager and built a team of 3 full time employees and 5 contractors for 2nd generation product.

DPI develops and builds unmanned, autonomous vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) vehicles for civilian and military uses. As part of a team of five Engineers, designed and developed two 500 pound UAVs that executed several unmanned, autonomous flight milestones as part of a DARPA and Boeing Future Combat Systems contract. * Designed a Common Avionics Box, a vehicle independent interface between the on board avionics and the control system actuators and sensors.* Integrated an Autopilot for assisted and fully automated flight * Specified and co-designed a four channel FPGA based interface converter. Numonics manufactures microcontroller based computer peripherals, including pen plotters, cordless mice, digitizing tablets, and cordless interactive whiteboard products.* System architect and project manager for several new cordless/corded micro and DSP based digitizing tablets including AccuGrid XNT, GraphicMaster II XNT, AccuGrid III, Interactive Presentation Manager, Annotator, and several OEM derivative product offerings.* Headed design team for BidMate and AccuGrid digitizers. Organized and supervised a team of ten including S/W engineers, H/W engineers, mechanical engineers, technicians, and a technical writer. Orchestrated the mechanical tool design of 16-button cursor parts creating a product that snapped together without fasteners.* Removed DIP config switches from all Numonics products, replacing with interactive setup menus. This fundamentally changed the user interface, substantially reduced service calls, and was subsequently widely copied by competitors. * Formalized detailed firmware design specification and firmware test procedures on all new products, ensuring product compatibility and fewer firmware revisions.* Managed and contributed to the design effort for three pen plotter models. Sole owner of all electronics and firmware. Designed four axes motor driver board and Zilog S8 based CPU board with 40k of Assembly code.
