In collaboration with the CNOO, is responsible for facilitating, leading and aligning resources, tactics and processes in the redesign and transformation of health care through clinical operations. Provide tactical/operational direction, expert Lean leadership and project facilitation to a multi-faceted portfolio of highly visible, sensitive programs, strategies, and performance improvements throughout all levels of the organization. The development, implementation and execution of project plans, process improvements, change management initiatives and the consistent tracking of value/benefits realized across the ministry in support of organizational key initiatives. Leads cross-functional teams from across all appropriate verticals to best understand how transformation strategies and communication can improve clinical processes, improving caregiver experience, and influence patient outcomes.

Synergy of Operations and Technology, Project/Portfolio Management, Communication/Customer Service, Tier 3 Application Support, Clinical Integration/Operationalization, Commercialization Leverages clinical experience to align with operational counterparts to identify, design and implement creative solutions in the clinical space, leveraging current technology to address workflow and business needs, driving efficiency, clinical excellence and expense reduction throughout Mercy. Assists with and leads projects in the clinical space, drive system builds, execute solution creation and development, facilitates workflow optimization, coordinates process training and resource allocation in the execution of solution deployment. Provides recommendations in support of impact assessment, change management, and clinical workflow transformation. Works with end-users to optimize the use of the system and ensure that Mercy is achieving the maximum value of the system as well as helping to improve and enrich the Mercy experience for caregivers and patients.Works with key stakeholders and process owners to ensure workflow, processes and tools are appropriately used and consistently applied, assists in identifying potential tool gaps and areas for improvement, implementing best practices, fostering industry standards, and working with clinical leaders to continuously find ways to optimize.

Using the Mercy Lean Management system, leads project teams to improve critical organizational processes that improve quality, patient safety and financial performance. Plans and manages major ministry-wide process improvement change utilizing Lean and Six Sigma tools, methodology, and behaviors. Consults with/coaches/mentors/ other Lean Facilitators and personnel to manage multiple Lean projects, Rapid Improvement Events (RIE), and follow up activities for redesign improvement efforts, ensuring alignment with Leadership goals. Trains, coaches and implements improvement efforts using the Mercy Lean Management System, principles of Lean Design with other Six Sigma and redesign black belts, leadership, providers and coworkers. Mentors other Lean Transformation Specialists.

Insures professional and technical operation of business unit and that all policies and procedures are followed on a day-to-day- basis. Responsible for the overall management of the business unit in accordance with system initiatives: communication, customer service, quality assurance and community health care. Appropriately delegates projects/duties to staff for completion success and in a timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Provide services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain which arise from sports related activities. Such treatment encompasses evaluation and analysis of patients and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise and other procedures to maximize safe return to activities.
