Macdill Air Force Base Fl

Served as spokesperson for all media interaction and focal point for community outreach for an organization of nearly 1000 airmen. Created a community relations program ranking in the top 5% of all Air Force Reserve stations nationwide within the first 18 months of being assigned to MacDill AFB. Deployed to Al Dhafra Air Base, UAE, overseeing media interaction, print and video production, for over 3000 U.S. and coalition partners. Accurately communicated coalition efforts in support of Operation Inherent Resolve to a worldwide audience. Hosted ABC News on a media flight onboard a combat mission, crafted messages for VPOTUS, facilitated a joint press conference with the Secretary of Defense and wing commander, and organized an on camera interview for 60 Minutes Australia.

Beale Air Force Base, Ca

Oversaw all aspects of the public affairs program for the premier multimission wing in Air Force Reserve Command while managing the communication strategy at home station and five geographically separated units. -Supervised the enlisted force and created a comprehensive training program designed to enhance writing and video production skills and provide a clear path for career progression. -Served as trusted council to senior staff on public affairs issues, wing spokesperson for media requests and focal point for all congressional interaction. -Wrote and executed the wing communication plan announcing the deactivation of the 13th Reconnaissance Squadron ensuring accurate information was reported by local and national media outlets and hosted congressional staffer delegates to discuss the economic impact of the deactivation. -Directed the organization and implementation of the wing’s web and social media communication program. Increased unique visits to the wing website by 350% and social media presence by 100% in less than one year. -Reinvigorated the wing community relations program thorough numerous speaking engagements, educating the public on the roles and missions of the wing and the Air Force Reserve

Joint Base Charleston, Sc

Facilitated the most media flights in Joint Base Charleston history as media coordinator for the top airshow selected by the AF Thunderbirds, equating to over $1M in advertising. Managed the wing community relations program to its most successful year in history, educating the public on the functions and missions of DoD, Air Force and Air Force Reserve Command. Participated in 2010 NYC Veterans Day Parade, lauded by NYPD and Air Mobility Command.Produced print and video news stories covering a joint service humanitarian mission to Panama and Germany and served as the only journalist covering AF Reservists at the historic South Africa Aerospace and Defense Expo. Deployed at the request of AMC/PA as the media escort for a PBS documentary crew covering aeromedical evacuation operations at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan and Ramstein Airbase, Germany.

-Executed the 22nd Air Force Commander’s public affairs program to include editing, preparing and releasing news stories and media advisories.-Served as advisor and oversaw 16 Air Force Reserve unit's public affairs programs. Provided recommendations for improvement in areas focusing on community outreach, photojournalism, and media engagement. -Filled a critical need organizing a short notice civic leader tour with the 403rd Wing Hurricane Hunters.

Montgomery, Alabama

-Managed an office of seven command post controllers while developing, reviewing, and implementing plans impacting numerous base agencies. -Cross-functional responsibilities included: processing classified material, communicating with multiple U.S. and international agencies to support flying operations, and providing timely information directly to the commander on the status of forces. -Immediately transitioned the command post from a weekend operation into a fully functional 24 hour operation after 9/11 and subsequently was tasked to deploy as an alert facility controller to manage an F-16 alert facility at Dobbins ARB, Ga.-Deployed as a member of advance echelon team to Azraq, Jordan in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and was instrumental in setting up a functional command post from bare base conditions. -Directly responsible for the command post receiving an Outstanding during a Unit Compliance Inspection upon return from deployment and established operations to support relief efforts following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

-Provided marketing, sales support, technical and analytical information to external sales forces to include creating and maintaining a representative database, providing fact sheets and hypothetical comparison, and accomplished sales calls. -Assisted regional vice presidents with filling appointments and determining the appropriate methods and media to communicate with prospective representatives, keeping the representatives informed and generating interest in the group of mutual funds. -Led meetings and gave presentations on a wide range of products including college saving, estate planning, retirement plans, and fund allocations. -Gathered and evaluated data on hundreds of mutual funds for hypothetical illustrations of fund performance and presented to broker/dealers and financial planners.
