Academic Chair for the Department of Military Science and Commander of the Army ROTC program at University of Oregon and its satellite at Southern Oregon University. Oversees the efforts of 13 faculty and staff, and 150 student Cadets to develop Officer leadership for the United States Army.

Serve as the primary officer recruiter and retainer for the State. Responsible for achieving the annual officer/warrant officer mission assigned by the National Guard Bureua with duties as follow:*Develop an annual Officer Strength Maintenance (SM) Plan to include AMEDD, Chaplain, JAG, Warrant Officer and Basic branch officers.*Coordinate with MILPO, RRC, Officer Personnel Manager and other senior leaders and commanders as directed to develop officer procurement priorities.*Assist the Regional Training Institute (RTI) with the development of an effective OCS recruiting program.*Establish liaison with State ROTC programs and assigned Associate Professors of Military Science (APMS).*Develop recruiting programs and materials to increase the number of ROTC graduates/candidates that join the ARNG.*Actively recruit qualified officers assigned to the IRR, to include all military services. *Ensure that applications for appointment are completed and submitted IAW guidance provided by the Department of the Army and NGB. *Facilitate officer transfers into and out of the state from the Active Duty. Ensure that officer and warrant officer vacancies are visible on AUVS. *Work with Commanders to ensure that effective officer sponsorship and retention programs are in place. *Coordinate with the Officer Personnel Section and Standard Installation/Division Personnel System (SIDPERS) to develop and provide statistical data on officer recruiting and retention to the RRC. *Utilize ARISS IAW prescribed guidance from NGB.

Logistics Officer for a Stryker-equipped RSTA Squadron in the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment (SRCT). Responsible for the requisition, distribution, and management of all classes of supply in support of three Reconnaissance Troops, one Surveillance Troop, one Military Intelligence Troop, and one Headquarters Troop. Responsible for providing the life support and sustainment for all Squadron elements in the field environment. Responsible for the management of the Squadron Government Purchase credit card and Travel credit card programs. Provides oversight on the unit property books and the Squadron operational budget. Maintains supervisory purview over the Squadron's maintenance and unit movement operations. Field Ordering Officer for procurement of immediate operational needs while deployed. Develop, solicit, and manage all Iraqi contracting requirements.

Leads the Squadron Maintenance Team. Exercises general supervision over the equipment maintenance activities of six subordinate companies. Inspects maintenance activities and procedures for efficiency of operations in subordinate units. Establishes and maintains liaison with the appropriate supporting services. Advises the commander on maintenance matters. Ensures that environmental protection procedures, to include spill response plans, are established and followed in all maintenance activities. Ensures that adequate supplies of spill response materials are on hand. Establishes, directs, and supervises procedures for turn-in, receipt, and exchange of repair parts and accessories. Also serves as the Squadron Movement Officer, responsible for all planning and execution of movement activities.

Platoon Leader in a RECCE Troop in the Reconnaissance, Survelliance, and Target Acquisition (RSTA) Squadron of a Strykre Cavalry Regiment. Responsible for the employment of a RECCE Platoon in a wide range of missions in both Stability Operations Support Operations (SOSO) and high intensity environments, including zone reconnaissance, screen, fixed site security, traffic control points, and convoy security. Responsible for the discipline, welfare, fitness and morale of 8 NCO's and 9 enlisted Soldiers. Responsible for the maintenance, combat readiness, and accountability of four M1127 Reconnaisance Variant Stryker vehicles and ancillary equipment valued in excess of $13 million. Additional duties included Troop Arms Room officer, Troop Unit Movement Officer, and Physical Security Officer.
