• At Goldsmiths'​ Student Union I worked as a part of a small team as bartender. This was an opportunity to get involved in exciting events and deliver excellent customer service.
• Prioritisation: various tasks were to be completed each shift, such as: checking and replenishing stock, deep cleaning procedures, opening and closing the bar, on top of preparing alcoholic drinks for customers.
• Teamwork: all shifts were worked as a part of a small team, and required constant communication with other events staff to provide the best customer service overall.
• Till-work/numeracy: responsibilities included till-work and counting large amounts of money at the end of each shift.
• Working under pressure: shifts required high quality work even in high pressure situations with alcoholic drinks involved. This required constant time managementand excellent interpersonal skills to ensure each event.
• Customer service: role required awareness of which products different customers or groups enjoy, providing the best service possible.
