I have been an active Firefighter since 1978 when I joined Explorer Post 307 at the Highland Fire Department in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After moving to Williamsburg, VA, I joined the Williamsburg, VA Fire and Rescue, where I started my medical training. I received my EMT-B and Shock Trauma certification at Virginia Tech's Rescue Squad as I worked part-time at the Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg, VA. After my graduation from Virginia Tech, I joined the James City County Fire Department where I became a Rescue Diver until moving to Hanover, Virginia. At that time, I became Crew Leader and President of the Chickahominy Hanover Fire & EMS Volunteer Fire Department. I then worked at VCU/MCV in transportation and in the OR as an Anesthesia Technician. I am currently active as a Lieutenant Firefighter/EMT with Hanover County's Volunteer Fire and EMS. As a Technical Sales Representative, Certified Installer and Trainer with a specializing in government and military contracts, I provided training and complete product information to distributors, architects, builders, and contractors, as well as field demonstrations, product ordering, inventory control, and product field repair.

In this role, I prepped the OR for surgery, transport patients to and from the OR, stocked inventory, and cleaned and sterilized equipment. I also retrieved blood, drugs and equipment for the OR team.

GAF / Hydro Stop is the largest roofing manufacturer in the world. In this role, I sold TPO, PVC, Mod Bits. and coatings to several local and national distributors across the country. I called on builders, architects, distributers and contractors. I did several AIA/CEU trainings for architecture firms throughout the mid-Atlantic region, including Virginia, DC and Maryland.My partner and I helped train roofers on the installation of GAF products. We assisted in making sure contractors and builders were code compliant and that the builders and architects were specifying the correct GAF product(s) to meet warranty specifications and their customers needs while still making quota.

As a technical sales specialist, I was also a certified installer and trainer, which included training and providing complete product information to distributors, architects, builders and contractors. I specialized in strategic consulting for government and military contracts.In this role, I was also involved in field demonstrations, product ordering, inventory control an product field repair. In less than one year, I received the Target Topper Award. I had several stocking distributors and worked with some very high profile clients, including: Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, Hazey, US Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore, US Air Hanger in Salisbury, Maryland and Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia.
