Worked on a range of projects across Telecoms, Rail & Highways sectors (£1.2-2m/year). Responsible for design, supply and installation of Telecoms structures from 5-50m, Screw & Micro Piles, steel frames for the support of various telecoms structures, platforms, and gantries.I managed projects from order, through design, drawing, fabrication and install to invoice ensuring adherence to HSQE standards including site safety RAMS and permits. For each project I was responsible for budget control and job costings, programme & scope management and supplier management. In this role I implemented a company wide job tracker, improving visibility of workloads and project status, allowing effective planning and allocations. In addition to this, I was able to drive implementation of new software and increase efficiency and profitability of various aspects of the business.

Initially employed as a labourer, later being promoted to leading hand, I worked on a AU$25m project renovating a heritage listed hotel into a private residence. Growing into the role, I took on more responsibility, developing and utilising my organisational, communication, leadership and teamwork skills.I was responsible for improving logistical efficiency whilst utilising safe working methods and delegating work within the subcontractor structure. Through regular inspections of the programme and drawing updates I was able to help ensure timely delivery of key elements while keeping the project scope and budget under control. This was achieved through accurate communication with all trades to ensure critical path elements were completed and signed off on time. This included mitigating conflicts between trades due to scheduling and process clashes in order to negotiate a suitable compromise.Part of my responsibility was to monitor compliance with safety standards throughout the project delivery, focusing on site governance which included updating records and pre-start and completion checks. I also contacted suppliers and subcontractors, building working relationships to a professional standard whilst ensuring purchase orders and invoices were maintained in line with the project to reduce risk of overspend.

At Scarlett Contracting, we completed a range of projects such as car parks, driveways, footpaths, fencing and landscaping. I gained project management experience along with experience of site processes and Health and Safety at work implementation. I worked on packages that constructed roads and footways where I managed contractors setting out for kerbs and road levels. In addition to the above, I was able to assist with tender documents and calculating quantities associated with pricing for new projects due to my project and commercial experience at Atkins in the UK.

Worked on a range of commercial and residential construction sites. I used a range of hand and power tools, in tasks including; erecting timber safety barriers, stud walls and lunch rooms, traffic management and as a spotter for excavators. I gained an understanding of problems often encountered on site and the solutions required to keep things running smoothly. Primarily based on a new secondary school build, my responsibilities grew to include maintaining safety standards throughout the site, task delegation among other labour hire staff and organising monthly barbecues.

I worked both as a pair and alone in one of VIP Ski’s flagship chalets in Val d’isere as a Chalet host. My role involved cleaning the chalet thoroughly, daily, weekly and for deep clean. I also cooked breakfast daily including a choice of 5 eggs, pastries and other options. I made an afternoon tea cake, a 3 course evening meal and canapes 6 days a week for up to 13 guests, in addition to serving guests and ensuring that all requests were met and a high standard was maintained throughout.

Worked on a range of projects, primarily focussing on the Great Western Electrification Project (GWEP) including bridge assessments, culvert design, feasibility studies and associated documentation. I organised contractors and equipment for various site investigation work and supervised this work on Site, often during tight overnight possessions.

During Summer 2014 I completed my PADI Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and Divemaster Courses whilst working for Atlantis. During the courses I assisted Instructors with courses, maintained the appearance of the shop, filled tanks and loaded vehicles. Upon completion of my Divemaster course I began leading dives with groups of customers, some to sites which were completely new to me, thus demonstrating my ability to quickly adapt to new situations and environments and showing the trust placed in my ability by the owners.

Whilst at Atkins I worked as part of the Highways and Structures team on a variety of projects which are detailed below.
