Rocket Role (https://www.rocketrole.io) was a professional development platform for Product Managers that delivered bite-sized, personalised training through Slack, powered by AI.The business was run full-time from June to October. Nobody wakes up burning to research which charity to donate to, but they do want to leave a positive impact on their world. Quite often this friction leads to no donations due to the decision-making process.I identified this problem while founding CheersNHS.com in 2020. I realised that people want to help the causes they care about, but there is no easy way to help them do so.After running the product profitably with a small cohort of users with 100% retention over 6 months, I decided to shut down the business for various reasons. Legal fees to innovate in the charity sector were becoming extortionate out of my own pocket, and the macroeconomic situation made donations subscriptions increasingly difficult to come by.

Responsible for the online existing customer experience for 4 million existing Admiral UK customers across all brands (Admiral, Elephant, Bell, Diamond, Gladiator):- Brought a new channel resulting in reduced operational cost through support call deflection and self-serve functionality;– Acted as Product Owner for rebuild of the customer portal, including phased roll-out across all brands and insurance functionality for all products (policy changes, claims, policy viewing, account, etc.);– Managed all web analytics and AB tests through a combination of internal and external systems (Google Analytics, Maxymiser, Heap Analytics, SessionCam);– Managed all online product feedback, including implementation and roll-out of Qualaroo surveys, and educated the business on how to use these valuable tools effectively;– Designed and implemented datalayer strategy to leverage in third-party tools such as Qualaroo, SessionCam, and Google Analytics;– Managed third party UX agency and design system;– Managed stakeholder expectations during a time of rapid online innovation and investment.

I project managed all company side businesses, and led the frontend design, development, and marketing across all web properties. Integrating projects into a .NET MVC environment, I collaborated with remote developers from across the US and Europe to bring business ideas to life.

I took charge of the company’s social media and content marketing activities, and in doing so exceeded KPIs such as readership, website traffic, email open rate, and affiliate signups. I did this by implementing a content strategy with a focus on involving our community; this entailed the creation of competitions, user generated content, and networking Q/A sessions with key industry influencers.

I demonstrated an ROI in the very competitive gambling industry, primarily by focusing efforts on inbound search, social media, and email marketing.
