I’m a brand guy.Sub-brand, major brand…little brand, big brand...whatever you've got - big fan.I excel at taking a brand, breaking it down to its base elements and then defining how to structure its persona to impact the market.A stratified marketing plan, with each facet talking to the other and complementing the whole – that stuff makes me happy. Yes, actually happy.The marketing world is ever-shifting. Social has changed a lot of the way we communicate, but recognizing its place in the overall marketing plan is key. I see a lot of people saying they need to tweet but the real question is do you have anything to say?Currently, I am working in the digital realm – managing websites, content development, strategic direction, social media assets – it’s fantastic stuff. I’ve been lucky to have gotten into the interactive world at the right time. Won national awards – actually created content that made the user’s experience make sense. That’s the real goal, isn’t it? However it doesn’t stop there.I’ve developed teams, led them, worked on my own, evangelized and built collaborations across departments.The consistent theme is messaging – making content that is great and that truly connects. Every consumer should get a real, genuine experience from a brand presence. Without that, the interaction becomes hollow and disingenuous.There are a million ways to market your brand. Understanding what parts work for you is where my expertise comes into play. Print, online, TV/radio – a mix of the whole makes the brand sing. And I love to make that music.I don’t jump out of bed thinking about marketing strategy. However, it does keep me up at night. Why?I’m a brand guy.
