A pioneer in the field of orthotics and prosthetics, Joe Terpenning currently serves as the owner and Director of Orthotics at Infinite Technologies Orthotics and Prosthetics in Arlington, Virginia. Through the company, Mr. Terpenning manufactures and sells his FDA-cleared helmet for plagiocephaly treatment known as the KidCap. First introduced in 1999, KidCap utilizes cutting-edge technology to improve facial symmetry while minimizing the risk of side effects. Joe Terpenning and the team at Infinite Technologies also produce a full complement of orthotics and prosthetics to address other physical conditions. Some of the innovative products from the company include the Dream Brace, specifically designed for people with neuromuscular ankle weakness, and WalkAide, a revolutionary solution to foot drop. In addition to his work with Infinite Technologies, Joe Terpenning treats patients directly through his work as an Orthotist with Inova Health System, the Georgetown University Hospital Muscular Dystrophy Clinic, and Eastern Cranial Affiliates. Certified the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics, Mr. Terpenning has been distinguished as a Fellow by the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists and established the organization’s Craniofacial Society. He also actively participates with the American Orthotics and Prosthetics Association, Orthotic and Prosthetic Political Action Network, and Arlington County Chamber of Commerce. Joe Terpenning began preparing for his career at Siena College, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science. After studying at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Mr. Terpenning enrolled at the Northwestern University Orthotics and Prosthetics Center. He earned his Certificate in Orthotics from the institution and subsequently initiated his career as Resident Orthotist with Orthotic Solutions and Rotation Practitioner with Inova Fairfax Hospital.
