As a volunteer missionary I was asked to be the technology specialist to do tech support for the Tokyo South Mission of 120+ missionaries. At that time I learned Visual Basic in a couple weeks and rewrote several automated scripts in Excel to be more readable, usable, and efficient. Also created other automation tools to increase the efficiency of statistical reports. Also during that time I worked with the Asia North Area Office on marketing strategies to help missionaries find more interested people to teach. Other responsibilities included training missionaries on how to use their devices.

I architected a backend for a social media platform that is designed to scale easily and be low maintenance by using technologies such as Cassandra and Ansible. I also built small portions of it, including the main app (in React Native) but was unable to be available for the completion due to serving a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I was a front-end, AngularJS, developer that added new features, fixed bugs, and created reusable components for a product that provides an in-browser PBX system (Private Branch Exchange for transferring phone calls within a company).
