As a Principal Engineer at DAT my job is primarily to help multiple scrum teams as they deploy Docker + Kubernetes hosted microservices to the AWS cloud, ensuring these new services are:● highly available● secure● scalable● well monitored with automated deployment / rollbackI regularly produce code (sometimes shared libraries and template repositories), architecture, and API designs / guidelines as we migrate from existing monolithic to new micro-service based systems. This produces complex technical and business scenarios as we transition such that our customers are not affected.I have also lead our adoption of OAuth2/OIDC for user and partner authentication and authorization. Java and .NET software engineer, DevOps engineer, scrum/agile team member, working on an iOS-based clienteling application for Nike's Global Store Solutions division. This application, (services hosted in AWS), is used by Nike in-store sales associates to connect quickly and seamlessly with both new and returning customers to Nike factory and in-line stores globally.In this position my primary responsibilities have included the REST API and general architecture/development, along with the CI/CD automated build and (AWS-cloud) deployment processes.
