Responsible for teaching PharmD students, directing core and elective courses in ambulatory care pharmacy, obtaining grant funding, publishing papers, directing the Experiential Education Committee, and practicing as an ambulatory care clinical pharmacist. During this time, I published 50+ papers and book chapters on a variety of clinical pharmacy topics, and also delivered 50+ local and national presentations for continuing education to pharmacists across the country.

Primary oversight for ambulatory care clinical pharmacy care delivery across the UCHealth enterprise. This includes all ambulatory care pharmacists and technicians supporting collaborative practice care delivery and employee health PBM support. Successes include 20% labor cost reduction with 50 FTE medication prior authorization team, leveraging clinical pharmacists to help drive $10M additional specialty pharmacy revenue capture in FY23, and streamlining/expanding clinical pharmacist drug therapy management across the enterprise.

Served as first pharmacy director to support all value-based contracts for the UCHealth Coordinated Colorado ACO. Developed and implemented pharmacy strategy for all member practices within and outside of UCHealth (~ 100 primary care practices). Supported employee health plan including plan design, managing PBM relationship, and successfully leading organization through PBM RFP process. Successes include driving 5-STAR SUPD attainment in Medicare Advantage, achieving $1M annual drug cost savings through generic drug optimization, and initiating and expanding ambulatory care clinical pharmacy services across the clinically integrated network.
