Following a record-breaking Women’s World Cup, I joined the communications team for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 as Digital Communications Executive. I was responsible the output of the official social media accounts, resulting in huge growth of audience and engagement over a two-year period. I was the lead in digital content creation and planning for the website, managed CRM email campaigns and worked with external stakeholders to ensure a consistent line of messaging, as well as liaising with members of the national and international media.

I joined the ICC’s global events team for the Champions Trophy and Women’s World Cup in 2017 as Social Media Officer. Working across the marketing and communications teams, I led the social media output for both tournaments, from pre-promotion to tournament-time content creation, culminating in a record-breaking Women’s World Cup and a sell-out crowd at Lord’s for the final.

In my role as Media & Marketing Assistant at Super League club Huddersfield Giants, I was the main content provider for the official club website. I was also the editor of the official matchday programme, which involved planning, writing and editing content, and also ran the club’s social media channels. During my time in position, the club moved from 13th to 5th in the Social Media Index for Super League clubs.

Working for a number of high-profile clients, including The Football League and The RFU, my role as Staff Writer sees me provide content for a number of publications, including the Football League Play-Offs programmes and England Rugby’s official magazine, amongst others. I also sub-edit various publications, including World Snooker’s official programmes and control the company’s social media accounts.

As Amateur Correspondent for rugby league trade newspaper League Weekly, I was in control of the entire amateur section of the weekly publication. My main responsibility was writing match reports for every National Conference League game, as well as writing round-ups for regional and youth leagues.

As Staff Writer for the Rugby League World Cup, I was part of a three person editorial team who were in control of writing and sub-editing all Rugby League World Cup 2013 publications, including 12 matchday programmes. I was also in control of a separate RLWC2013 Twitter account, which was used to promote our publications.

My main role on matchdays required me to post regular updates on the game for the club’s official social media pages (Facebook and Twitter).

I assisted with the technical operation of the radio station’s weekly sports show, as well as collating local non-league scores and taking commentary clips from a number of matches to be played at the end of every game.
