Jaisalmer, India

An international project working directly with the Prince of Jaisalmer in order to develop a sustainable and culturally acceptable action plan to restore and preserve the 800+ year old Jaisalmer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Activities included spending a month living and working in the Fort, conducting interviews, meeting with municipal boards, NGO’s, Prince Chaitanya Raj Singh and other vested participants. Studied India’s municipal government structure, funding programs, tourism activities and the prevailing cultural landscape in order to develop an action plan that will yield the highest probability of acceptance and success.
