Set the program direction of enhancing the reliability, maintainability, and service life to support business goal of 200 launches per year per aircraft. Established strict requirements and managed them through a rigorous systems engineering approach and oversight of the design and manufacturing process.• Directed the aircraft development program acquisition contract team which included VP of Supply Chain, CFO, President, and General Council. Supported contract writing and negotiations including contract structure, program phases, terms and conditions, statement of work, responsibilities, governance, price, and incentives. Coordinated with supply chain, quality, engineering, manufacturing, and operations team to incorporate lessons learned on existing aircraft. Contract scope includes non-recuring engineering, building of two aircraft, and flight testing. Prepared, presented, and obtained approval at Board of Directors meeting.• Managed supplier execution including cost, schedule, and technical performance. Coordinated the company level decision process and established a strategic make-buy decision based off technical, schedule, and financial constraints in the context of the company’s long-term targets. Embarked on the company’s first ever large-scale tier one supplier selection, including request for information with 10 suppliers, on-site visits, and setting selection criteria.
