I was the Challenge Area Head at Camp Echo, a sleep-away camp, this past summer. I spent ten weeks taking care of children ranging from grades third eighth. I was a Cabin Counselor, supervising ten campers for two weeks sessions while running the Challenge Area on Camp. The area consisted of a horizontal climbing wall, slack line, and and Team-building.

I worked at a sleep-away camp with responsibilities including watching over a cabin and demonstrating the five core values of Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Caring, and Fun to the campers and staff. I also lifeguarded at various waterfronts, cleaned the kitchen and dining area before and after meals, served food to the rest of main camp, and supervised.

I worked about three hours a day, one-two days a week, during the school year depending on my availability and about four hours a day, one-three days a week, during the summer depending on my availability. I became a certified Lifeguard through Red Cross and am certified in CPR as well.
