I am a geochemist and environmental scientist with a passion for communicating about the Earth sciences and bringing my expertise to interdisciplinary research projects. My work focuses on contributing to novel scientific endeavors that foster sustainability, protect and restore the environment, and safeguard people on the planet. Currently, I lead the Innovation team at Heirloom in pursuit of gigaton carbon dioxide removal from the atmosphere. I am also passionate about creating welcoming spaces for a diversity of identities, particularly in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Among my efforts to support equity and inclusion, I am a Bay Area Lead for Out in Climate, have collaborated on the Queer in STEM research project, and was the president of the Stanford Chapter of Out in STEM.
