Aquatic safety is my passion. Working as an aquatic's professional for the past few decades years has allowed me to see changing legislation across jurisdictions, but it has also allowed me to witness a shift in culture regarding safety. Successful workplace safety culture lies in the relationship between the frontline employee, the employee’s immediate supervisor, and the bond among the entire team.I love training staff and watching them grow into our leaders of tomorrow. Nothing brings me more pride than to see the transformation of an attitudinal teenager, who causes disruptions in their first, be it, lifeguard class return year after year sharpening their skills and blossom into an adult. Seeing these students go on to become doctors, first responders and other hero's makes my eyes glisten. My only hopes are that life allows me to continue this path for as long as possible.
