About Joseph Crown
After studying philosophy at the University of Florida, I began teaching myself how to code as a way to apply my education in logic, analytical problem-solving, and abstract reasoning to a technical skill. As I explored deeper into the cutting-edge applications of programming and computer science, the rapid developments in the field of Artificial Intelligence stuck out to me. Thinking back on my favorite classes, Philosophy of Mind, and Symbolic Logic, I realized that philosophers and computer scientists shared many common goals and interests.In order to further understand these connections, I sought out a formal education in computer science at the University of Central Florida. Now, having recently graduated, I feel confident as a developer and have found countless opportunities to apply my prior education to this discipline. I completed an internship at NASA where I developed functional tests for their spaceport monitoring software. Currently, I'm building a business focused cross-platform VoIP application with secure E2EE and SMS messaging, along with voice and video calling using WebRTC.
