Since graduating from UBC with a Bachelor and Masters degree in Kinesiology. I have gathered experience working with developmental and higher developed athletes involved in a variety of sports. Some of my most developed athletes have been: professional basketball players, a beach volleyball player, collegiate level athletes competing in football, soccer and swimming.I use scientific research, methods and anecdotes to guide my coaching. During my formal education I also taught UBC’s high performance strength and conditioning class. I was teaching undergraduate students the essentials of the physical preparation process.With the knowledge of what it takes to be a collegiate level athlete I have the knowledge and experience in understanding what it takes to become a better athlete. I was a four year starter with the UBC Thunderbirds football team. After getting an invitation to a CFL training camp, I am no longer competing in the sport.Being a volunteer coach with youth soccer and football teams has been enjoyable over the past year. I have been putting majority of my time towards developing my practice as a public school teacher. After recently moving to Chilliwack, I've been looking for teaching and coaching opportunities. However, the outdoor sports in Chilliwack are quite desirable and are keeping me busy.
