    Aside from the failed attempt to start a business, it's the same job, some role, and I was there for about 3 years. Since I started we've migrated basically all of my department's development to Docker & Kubernetes. (I don't recommend swarm!) I was doing a lot of work to improve and automate the environment. I've also eliminated about half the work in the patching process.

    This was my attempt to start a DevOps SaaS business, which ultimately failed. I started with the idea that I could provide automated provisioning/continuous integration for freelance developers as a scaleable service. Unfortunately they were so small scale they didn't need the benefits I was trying to provide. I lacked the sales skills to take this to larger companies. In the mean time I still built some nice highly saleable (simple) architecture customized to the first "client". If your curious I used: Digital ocean cloud (should have used AWS), Jenkins, Incinga 2, Salt, Git Hub, Django, python, etc.)Briefly I looked at if a SaaS product would make recruiting easier. My theory: recruiters have a hard time because they don't have the right information. This seems to be true, but I don't know how to build a solution. ATDC at Georgia Tech University worked with me for startup guidance.
