As a commercial design/build project manager, I am responsible for coordinating the work of subcontractors, laborers and suppliers while keeping projects on schedule and under budget. I work with owners to determine thier needs and construct their buildings in the most economical ways that will meet those needs.

Responsible for payroll, payables and receivables for six limited liability corporations. Managed all commercial leases and determined feasibility of new business endeavors for the parent company. Project responsibilities included:• overseeing initial site development for Tides, a large high-end condominium project on Charleston harbor in Mt. Pleasant.• overseeing the remodeling of the former Trawler Restaurant which involved coordinating the work of sub-contractors, supervising in-house employees, and resolving issues with city representatives regarding permits, code compliance, etc.• overseeing the operation of an offshore fishing charter service as well as managing an offshore fishing charter booking company.• managing the set up, construction, and day to day operations of a fully automated self-serve fuel facility for charter and shrimp boats.

Designed and maintained a database for a pathology laboratory to include interfacing with other internal and external databases. Responsible for all hardware, software, peripheral, and system procurement, installation, testing and maintenance. Developed a database and implemented programs to initiate, maintain and manage a medical debt collection business. In support of the employer’s personal business ventures:• developed and managed a database for a wine trading company.• managed an offshore charter boat service including billing, procurement, marketing, payroll and booking.• designed, built and maintained a sport fishing as well a medical website.

Automated the User Fee division by writing programs on a mainframe system. Supervised and coordinated the efforts of all User Fee Inspectors within the department. Conducted training for inspectors and acted as liaison between inspectors and other departments. Prepared and presented cases to Small Claims Court defending the County’s position on cases pertaining to the User Fee division. Monitored and coordinated the billing and collection of the more than $17,000,000 of revenue produced by this division. Acted on behalf of Operations Manager in his absence. Developed and coordinated special projects and helped determine long range plans within the division. Analyzed all automation needs and determined program needs and modifications required to fine tune the User Fee system to eliminate excess work and errors. Analyzed information that was collected from public and private waste haulers to determine monthly incinerator allocations and annual User Fee bills.
