Hi, I’m Joey, an Interaction Designer who wants to put my design and technical skills to use in designing and creating amazing experiences for users. Throughout my time in school, and my jobs as both a Research and Development Intern and Server, I have worked by myself and with others to create the best experience for users possible. I often research the topic at hand and use that knowledge to influence my design making decisions, whether that be for a new product I’m developing, or my approach for recommending food to a new customer. I have learned to adapt personal designs and behavior towards to end user, in hopes to create the best experience for them, whether that is an effective useful product, or a delicious meal. I learned all of these skills during my time at Kennesaw State, with classes like Interaction Design, Interface Design, Information Design, Usability Testing, and Technical Writing, just to name a few. I have learned many approaches to researching ideas, and designing them for readability and usability. I have worked on multiple solo and group projects, using different methods of design. The two main methods being Goal Directed Design, and Lean UX. I enjoyed both methods and see the benefits in using both. My technical communication minor has allowed me to improve my writing to be understandable and readable, as well as accessible by everyone. I touched a bit on SEO and Analytics as well and have a certificate for Basic Google Analytics training. Throughout all my projects, I keep the end user in mind the whole time, as I want to create the best experience for them. Many of my projects have a theme around cars, as I believe they can deliver some of the best human experiences possible, if designed correctly. I work on my car, attend Motorsports, and race in my free time, just to chase those experiences. If I can replicate the positive experiences I get from my hobby into another product, or improve the experience for someone else, I will have succeeded in my job.
