At Highland Bakery I work as both a Server and a Bartender. I work collaboratively with other servers and the kitchen to provide the best experience for each customers. I give suggestions, answer questions, and make any necessary arrangements for customers as quickly and efficiently as possible. The environment is fast paced, and I must keep up with multiple orders and tables, all while making sure my section is clean and helping others with their duties if necessary. I clean and organize the bar or my section before and after every shift, and stock any items that are low. I show up a bit earlier every shift to make sure I am prepared for my customers.

At M+A Matting I learned the manufacturing process of textiles and floor mats, as well as the the testing process that is involved. I worked both independently and on a team with three others in the Research and Development department to work on projects, and test them as well. I had to communicate between multiple different departments, plants, and companies to gain information and collaborate on projects. I started the development project for the company to use a program and a system I set up for the Sales Team to create floor proofs for clients. My internship ended before it could be fully implemented. Many other projects were worked on, but cannot be discussed due to an NDA. My biggest takeaway was the overall experience of being in a large scale company, and all the communication and collaboration that is involved.

At Braelinn Golf Club, I provided personalized Dine-In service for members. I promptly greeted guests by name, and would offer suggestions and answer questions customers may have. I would take orders and ensure accuracy, and get customers what they wanted quickly. I had to communicate with the kitchen staff as well to make sure orders were met, and special needs were accommodated. As lead server, I trained incoming hires, and made sure they understood the procedures and etiquette of the restaurant. They were a reflection of me and I wanted them to do well. As a barback, I worked closely with the bartender to make sure the bar was properly stocked and cleaned. I also made drinks in a timely fashion, and tried to exceed all customer's expectations.
