About Jo Field Chart.Pr Fcipr Fciht

After leaving Transport for London, I founded JFG Communications. We're a public affairs consultancy specialising in stakeholder engagement and political communications to help the transport industry decarbonise and diversify its workforce. My experience:I have over 20 years of leadership experience, giving strategic advice stakeholder engagement and advocacy, campaigns, policy development, crisis communications, and protecting corporate reputations.I have significant experience working on complex, publicly-funded transport projects that are under high levels of public scrutiny, working with multiple partners and stakeholders. My experience includes building stakeholder support and advocacy for high-profile national infrastructure projects including HS2, the Elizabeth line, the Tube upgrade and the London 2012 Games.I work with large numbers of stakeholders across multiple sectors including business, trade associations, charities and campaign groups, environmental groups, equalities groups, Parliament, devolved institutions, local and national government. I have specific expertise in relation to engaging and inspiring groups such as young people and groups representing those with protected characteristics that are under-represented in public consultation.I have a Master's degree in social science research methods and I use this to underpin research, consultation and stakeholder engagement to inform policy development and influence public policy. I believe in early engagement to connect people and policymakers, enabling better policy. I am an experienced non-executive director, board and committee member. How I do it:I build relationships, teams, networks and coalitions. I put in place structures and processes, and find practical solutions to get things done.At JFG Comms, our engage, inspire and influence methodology is at the heart of our service delivery:Everyone uses transport so I see it as being all about people. It therefore makes sense to ENGAGE people from the early stages of a project to make sure it meets everyone's needs.Next, we create innovative engagement methods to INSPIRE people to get involved and have their say on transport. The final step in the process is connecting people and policymakers to INFLUENCE decisions and enable better policy.I hope that gives you a flavour for what me and my team do and how we do it. If you would like to know more, please get in touch.
