I started working at Mugg & Bean directly after finishing my studies and practicals mentioned above. I have a range of tasks, from supervising people, to ensuring excellent customer experience which also entails dealing and resolving complaints. I manage staff in the front-of-house, this includes the waiters, baristas and a baker, this includes the aspect of setting up shift rosters to schedule them. I ensure that all the dry and perishable stock in these areas are labeled and dated to ensure that required levels of quality and standards are maintained. Counting stock, placing orders and receiving stock using the correct documentation and procedures are part of my daily duties. From an occupational health and safety perspective, recording incidents, capturing invoices and implementing safety procedures for restaurant readiness is also part of my job. I enjoy working in a team, and this role also gave me the opportunity to develop my management and leadership capabilities. During my time at Mugg & Bean I brought all compliance related record keeping up to date, improved overall hygiene of the restaurant, increased staff morale and promoted working together as a team. I am also the basic first aid representative and fire warden for the shop.
