Responsible for the execution of projects on Matla Colliery from Prefeasibility phase to close-out. I am responsible for building the business case, evaluating all different options and indicating which makes the most sense. I work close in hand with the Life of Mine Plan ensuring projects identified is presented and approved in time to ensure no losses in production due to a delay in the project execution. The latest projects I am involved with were:1. FGX Air Jig Plant450 ton/hour plant to beneficiate our Stockpile coal to a higher quality to be suitable for the Power Station to use. This is one in only two plants currently operating in SA, and this one has the largest capacity. This project was the most feasible to construct due to it being a fraction of the cost of a DMS plant, and our densities between the coal and stone are so far apart that it easily gets separated. By implementing this solution, we also did not need to apply for water use licences etc. seeing that this is a dry process. This is running exceptionally well and we are evaluating this to see if it can be double up to increase production rates.2. Construction of Fuel DepotConstructed two fuel depots one at the Mine 2 Shaft and one at the Plant. This will improve production due to shorter times to refill machines. These fuel depots are being build together with Total to ensure that we comply to the highest safety standards. 3. Hardstand Areas next to PCD dams at the two shaftsThis is an environmental project to ensure that we do not contaminate any surface with coal. These hardstands being build to handle a 955 FEL will ensure that PCD dams and oversize coal from the Mine is thrown on to this and then managed. Silt traps and drifts are included in this project to ensure not all coal on this hardstand is washed into the PCD.4. Proximity Detection System (PDS)Installation on all In-By equipment was covered in this after business case was presented.5. Rebuild of Machines

• Re-establishment of the 2 Seam at Mine 3 on Matla which is a multi disciplinary project, over the following fields:- Electrical Engineering;- Mechanical Engineering;- Trackless Mobile Machinery;- And Mining.Project had to be managed in EPM requiring focus on the following fields:- Forecasting- Interaction with Eskom, Senior Management, Supply Chain (chasing orders) and Project Team members.- Identifying Risks and Mitigation options before it became issues,- Management of Scope Changes which were presented at th Project Steercom- Change Management• Replacement of Equipment project manager on the following Equipment:- Tractors at Arnot- LDVs and Underground busses- Auto Samplers at Arnot and on Matla• Project Manager on sustainable projects at Arnot:- Geographical Expansion projects at Shaft 8 and 10- Power Reticulation projects at Shaft 8 and 10- Instrumentation projects on Arnot• Assistance was also given to Arnot’s financial team regarding the total Arnot portfolio on:- Forecasting and Actuals of all projects;- Feedback on important projects- Risk Meeting slides presented to management.

• Project Manager and Project Engineer on all Electrical Capital projects on the Mamatwan Mine and Sinter plant.• Electrical project Engineer and Project Manager on the new De dust plant at the Mamatwan site.• Project Manager on all dust extraction and dust handling projects.• Specifying which electrical equipment needs to be used according to BHPBilliton standards.• Forecasting on all Projects, needs to be within the 5% margin.• Scheduling needs to be 5% accurate.• Working with Senior Managers implementing tactical, strategic plans.• Identifying all risks, issues, assumptions, opportunities, and dependencies regarding all projects on PPM (Project Portfolio Manager).• Refurbishment of the Electrostatic Precipitators at the Sinter Plant.
