• Working under our Executive Manager (June 2018 – September 2020) and now our Managing Director (October 2020 – Present). • Managing the daily activities of the estimating department. • Accountable to ensure accurate, cost effective and timeous quoting and tendering in our department. • Review tender documents with our Estimator and providing advise where needed. • Working closely with our MD and Executive Contracts Manager with high value tenders and with running projects where additional work needs to be priced. • Drafting of our estimate Excel templates and keeping them updated with the up-to-date labour costs etc. • Keeping our landed cost sheet updated for imported materials. • Constant discussions with all our suppliers re prices, specs etc. • Reviewing and approval of estimates and quotations and adjusting where required. • Determine mark-up percentages based on the current workload of our crews – applicable to tenders which the award will happen soon. • Evaluating drawings with our Estimator to determine where we can better our installation tempo and ultimately decrease our time on site to be competitive. • Attending tender meetings as well as clarification meetings as and when required. • Working closely with our Sales Manager. • Assisting with pre-appointment negotiations as and when required.

• Working under our Technical Manager (Sales and Estimating). • Review tender documents and ascertain what we need to include in our estimation. • Review contract requirements with our Financial Director. • Sourcing of prices from both local and international suppliers. • Constantly talking to Clients, Contractors and Engineers re the project and specific site requirements. • Preparing project programs and in some cases together with the relevant contractors for high value tenders. • Preparation and completing tender documents that needs to be hand delivered. • Completing the costing sheet, offer letter and review it with our Technical Manager (Sales and Estimating). • Attending tender meetings and site inspections as required. • Discussing specialist tenders with our overseas suppliers to get the best possible offer. • Calculating and sending out cash quotations for the supply only of materials.

I am a Resident Engineer on the Kusile Power Station project. I work on all Black & Veatch Civil designs and form part of KET (Kusile Execution Team).My job entails the following:Site supervision over contractors, civil inspections prior to concrete placement and also post concrete inspections to identify any defects. Reviewing of Data Packs (site records of a certain structure) to ensure all documentation is included in order for Beal's Engineer to issue a certificate for the structure.I'm also involved with some on-site NDT testing.Projects involved with:Kusile Power Station

During my time at Radon I started with the Tendering Department. I worked on a few tenders that we needed to complete and hand over to our QS for further evaluation.After 2 months I was promoted to Site Agent and was given a project at Denel Aviation.
