To produce logical and technical specifications from functional specifications and to write the code for medium to large applications.My responsibilities include:Implementing system enhancements by addressing specific business needs and resolving queries.Code, compile, test and implement applications in compliance with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Support development environments and assist in coding standards. To assess, identify and mitigate potential risks within the IT programming environment bycomplying with technology business policy and process requirements (SDLC and change /release management process definition) to ensure operational performance.Responsible for minimising system downtime through pro-active identification of potential issues and ensure minimisation of recurring problems by managing defects and performing code reviews.To proactively engage with business units and colleagues to understand underlying needs and opportunities and identify Information Technology (IT) innovative solutions in a timely manner.Supervising the work of other developers and providing technical assistance to fellow developersand other team members.

Interaction design gives me the opportunity to specialise and focus more on the technical side allowing me to pursue and further my technical skills, my user experience knowledge as well as build on a career path in front end development. As an interaction designer I can incorporate better user interaction on prototypes, getting a better feel for implementation of new animations and user interfaces. Being able to test and play with new digital and web enhancements and do User Testing with working prototypes.

I am responsible for the initial idea conceptualization and structuring of a projects look and feel as well as the user interface. Discussing and implementing the creative development solutions for a project.After the concept is approved and signed off I am responsible for the front-end development of the project. With regards to projects where backend development is required i will work in conjunction with a developer.I have undertaken some smaller projects where backend development was required which consisted of a login systems, auto response mailer from a webform, pdf creators from mailers as well as a very basic BLOG system.Other responsibilities include : Multimedia projects which include, screensavers, animated flash cards, promotional animations and web animations for banners etc. Also straight to print design work such as logos, corporate stationary, product branding, catalogues and brochures.

Predominately my responsibilities included the design of the look and feel for computer based training programs as well as the struc-turing of the user interface. I was also responsible for to design of the DVD/CD cover label.The next step was to sit down with one my employers whom both are pilots and they would draw out a series of mini story boards explaining to me what they want the user to learn. I then work from these story boards and do a series of animations in a manner to best suite the user. Most of the time it was a mix of 2D and 3D animation.Usually the animations are split up into chapters and after each chapter is finished it is tested and signed of temporarily. I then compile the external animations into one user interface.I am involved with the Quality Assurance and testing of the product when it is finished. Where CBT’s are published with books, I am responsible for the printing of the books.Other Responsibilities included web and multimedia design,logos, business cards, corporate id's and adverts

My responsibilities included initial conceptualization and structuring of a websites look and feel.I worked closely with a Web Developer in the company designing graphics for websites as required and occasionally doing a bit of HTML on some of the websites.I also did a few multimedia presentations for products incorporating 3D ani- mation into Flash. One of the Multimedia’s involved building a 3D model of a house and have a camera take you on a guided tour through the house. I did 4 small websites for the company which did not require back end development.
