Currently I manage the engineering side of an open cast coal mining operation on site. With changes to our operation the responsibility of the total running of the machines and equipment on site became my area of responsibility. This includes but is not limited to planning of the scheduled/planned maintenance, ordering of spares, lubricants, filters, tyres etc.. managing of the engineering work force including scheduling of training, leave and disciplinary actions etc. I have gained a fast amount of knowledge and experience on opencast mining equipment consisting of Caterpillar, Komatsu, Bell, Volvo, Mercedes, Hitachi and Liebherr machines, from excavators, rigid truck, dozers, graders adt's etc. Show less
