After becoming a highly respected CCMA Commissioner, Steyn Fourie's responsibilities and expertise moved more to being a CCMA Commissioner and Panellist off various dispute resolution institutions for Bargaining Councils. He left EFA in 2019 where after Johan Kruger, a well known attorney specialising mainly in the employment and labour law discipline, joined Ebersohn Fourie & Ass. This resulted in a name change of the firm to that off Ebersohn Kruger and Associates (EKA) end 2019. Eventhough EKA will continue to focus mainly on labour and employment related matters, our team of experts which consists of highly experienced and qualified legal professionals/practitioners in all Civil-/common law matters which includes labour law, we will assist Clients in all their legal requirements inclusive of litigation. EKA is able to represent Clients in various Courts as well as the various dispute resolution centres (CCMA and Bargaining Councils). Clients will also be assisted with any HR related queries or guidance they may required inclusive of employment contracts, company policies and HR documents, restructuring and union / wage negotiations and training. Where required we will offer assistance in presiding over or, leading a employer's case in internal enquiries. We have also recently entered in a working relationship in association with Corne Wilkens Attorneys situated in Pretoria in addition to the existing relationship with Du Plessis Phukubey Smith Attorneys situated in the east of Pretoria.
