About Johan Fabry
I am currently working at Raincode Labs on a variety of projects across different languages. These projects aim to migrate client software to less niche or more recent languages. Hence I mainly do a lot of source code transformation.Until recently I was a software engineering researcher with an overall focus on easing programmers' jobs by providing them with the right abstractions for the task at hand. I practiced what I preached so my research and teaching has always been accompanied by software tools I built myself or with my students. My teaching tool was web-based and used yearly by 80+ students, other tools are open-source with public bugtrackers and use of CI infrastructure.I specifically worked in the field of programming languages and software engineering and since 2014 with a focus on software engineering for robotics.I include a video of a talk of mine at FOSDEM about LLVM @RaincodeLabs and an earlier talk about software engineering for robotics.
