The system was built with comprehensive Straight Through Processing (STP) integration with upstream trading and research systems, downstream compliance and accounting systems, market data, and a variety of Risk platforms.For ACA Technology, I was responsible for performing deep and thorough analysis of a prospective client’s business and operational workflow, recommending an economically and technically feasible approach, and to implement the approach, managing both our and the client’s resources to set and meet project goals and milestones.

Redesigned and implemented a central communication servicing system for medical equipment. Field engineers used Palm Treo devices that connected to a central.NET Web Service layer via TCP/IP and SOAP (externally) and .NET Remoting (internally). Played a leadership role in all aspects of design, including operator workflow, authorization, and internal compliance.

Developed a hedge fund investor statement generation system for Bisys’s hedge fund clients. Consisted of a web-based WYSIWIG front end tool to design statements and reports, coupled with a queued statement delivery service (via Web Services) that distributed statements to email, fax, and/or directly to printers. Guaranteed delivery ensured using MSMQ.

Architected and developed State St. Research’s Fixed Income Performance Attribution (FIPA) system. FIPA consisted of several parts: a back end service that fed fixed income benchmark performance data into Eagle Pace, a service that extracted position, performance, yield, and rate information from Eagle Pace into the FIPA data warehouse and calculated the performance metrics, and a front end web-based analysis tool for the PMs and Risk managers. Implemented using ASP.NET, XML/XSLT, SQL, and PERL. Acted as architect, implemented the core solution, and provided expertise in technology and development methodology for the internal team. Expanded State St. Research’s capabilities in the .NET space.

Created an Experiment Information Management System using Documentum, J2EE, and Oracle. Adapted Documentum’s content management and search workflows to function better in context of bio/pharma research. Coordinated with other project teams to streamline automated communications among project components. Managed team strategy for deployment and coordinated promotions to different environments.
