At Helsingin Yliopistokiinteistöt Oy (please see: http://www.helsinginyliopistokiinteistot.fi) I serve my employer as a combined secretary for the company board and a business controller. The company has a very small organization (we are only four employees) but yet a very big balance sheet (real estate assets are 600 million euros and balance sheet total of 630 million euros) and a big loan portfolio relating to the assets. The range of my duties are wide (preparing financial statements and interim statements, budgeting, taxation and other legal related questions as well as keeping the minutes for meetings of the board of directors) and I enjoy my jobb very much.

In beginning of 2010 the public utilites (Espoo Water, Helsinki Water, Vantaa Water) responsible for water and wastewater services in Helsinki region were merged into a new organization HSY and thus my old jobb as financial manager at Helsingin Vesi continued as a business controller at HSY

Helsinki Water (Helsingin Vesi in Finnish, public utility owned by the city of Helsinki)At Helsinki Water I worked over 6 years as financial manager responsible for 12 people, ie bookkeeping team, payroll team, accounts payable and business controll teams and responsible for both internal and external accounting. Helsinki Water was a business unit within the city of Helsinki but with its own financial and bookkeeping administration. It was professionally a very rewarding time and at the end of my career most of my time was taken by the merger project between the publicly owned water utilites in metropolitan Helsinki region. At January 1, 2010 Espoo Water, Helsinki Water and Vantaa Water were merger together with parts of YTV to a new organization HSY. My working career continued in HSY as team leader for a business controller team.

After the computer project in Medix group I continued with the same sort of computer related project tasks. My next project assignment was in Darepro, Darekon and Dinos conglomerate ( in Finnish electronics industry) where I was responsible for implementing a new computer system for both the administrative (accounting, payrolls, accounts payable etc) as well as manufacturing needs. This was my primary responsibility and in addtion I served as a financial manager for the conglomerate. In additon to

Medix group is small medical laboratory in Finland providing laboratory test services to hospitals, to health and medical centers and to other institutions in the Finnish medical sector. (please see webb site www.yhtyneetlaboratoriot.fi ) At Medix Group I served as a financial manager and team leader, responsible for the accounting, financing tasks and preparing the annual financial statements and tax forms. In my team I had two other persons, one accountant and one person responsible for the payroll and salaries. During the last two years at Medix a big part of my time was dedicated to the implementation of a new computer system for accounting and invoicing and at the same time the merger between the laboratories of Medix and Diacor added some extra excitement to the challenge. Professionally this was a very revarding time in my business controller career, as I had the opportunity to plan and to build the entire chart of accounts, cost center structure, monthly routines etc.....Medix Group is owned by Minerva foundation, a non profit organization with the goal of promoting medical research.

For two and half a year I worked as a business controller at the copper Tube Mill of Outokumpu Poricopper Oy, a member of Outokumpu Group.

My working career started in Outokumpu Group as business controller"s assistant and IT support person in the Controllers Office at Corporate Management of Outokumpu Group. My career at Outokumpu Group continued at the Tube Mill of Outokumpu Poricopper in Pori Finland.
