I am a driven leader working as the COO at VeeOne, a company that is set to transform crew planning at airlines. During the years I have acquired experience in setting up, restructuring and transforming airline, and recently rail, planning processes, both in the role of a responsible senior manager and as a consultant. I have spent most of my career in various positions within airline management, mainly in the planning and network areas.Step by step, my mission has become to transform the way airlines plan and make use of their resources. I have been driving change moving from reactive planning towards pro-active planning based on optimization, and where we have integrated the whole resource management process as a natural part of greater business process. I have proven leadership skills on a senior level, including the ability to communicate, interact and cooperate to create understanding and enthusiasm of new visionary goals. Among my strengths are to set up a strategy, point out goals and directions on how to reach them – and then make the organization move in the right direction. I have also been deeply involved in union relations and I have acquired strong negotiation skills and experiences.Examples of achievements: - At SAS I merged three crew planning departments into one centralized unit, cut the resources by 1/3 and implemented an integrated crew optimization system as the first airline in the world. That the transformation was managed well is proven by the fact that despite these dramatic changes, SAS increased crew productivity and became the most punctual airline in Europe during this period. Today SAS is considered a world leader in using optimization in crew planning.- At Boeing/Jeppesen we successfully sold the world’s most powerful crew optimizer to leading airlines around the world. Me and my team helped both new and existing customers to drive change management processes at the airlines – for example: United Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Shenzhen Airlines and many more. - At SJ me and my team have implementing a new scheduling model for crew, a new crew planning process, and in parallel transformed the planning department structure and implemented a new planning system based on optimization (IVU.rail). A true challenge, not without bumps on the way, but one of my greatest experiences.
